The profit numbers from Qatar Stock Exchange for Q1 2025 increased due to solid performance by insurance and real estate and telecom sectors.
During Q1 2025 the Qatar Stock Exchange's net profit results for listed companies increased by 0.92% to reach QR13.224 billion from QR13.103 billion the previous year. The increase in net profit emerged from successful operations in insurance together with real estate and telecom sectors.
The insurance sector achieved its highest quarterly performance in Q1 2025 by generating QR432m in net profit through a positive 10.91% boost from QR382m the previous year. The capital market displayed positive results during this period as banks together with financial services showed a 1.08% quarterly profit growth elevating their combined amount to QR7.627bn.
During Q1 2025 the real estate sector exhibited a remarkable 18.98% quarter-to-quarter profit increase along with the telecom industry achieving a 5.58% profit growth. Profit numbers from QSE's consumer goods and services sector rose by merely 0.62% when analyzing annual performance.
The QSE’s general index achieved its highest weekly closing at 10,447 points during the period from early March 2025 until reaching a 1.83% increase. The amalgamation of all stock valuations surpassed QR614bn although it remained marginally below the QR616bn total from the previous session.
