Digital signature certificates (DSC) are the digital equivalent of physical certificates. These DSCs can be presented electronically to prove your identity, to access information or services on the Internet, or to sign certain documents digitally in the same manner.
With the E-governance policy of the government, DSC will be used for most government services to authenticate your identity. One such area of application is at the MCA government portal.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs under the MCA21 program has made e-filing with Digital Signature compulsory.
The DSCs for MCA ROC filing are generally issued in the favor of the organization and can be obtained by any user utilizing their Aadhaar or PAN card. The user can use or affix their digital signature certificates while registering their organization at the MCA portal to initiate the business in the INDIAN market.
Interestingly, you don't have to present any physical paper or you don't even have to present physically to obtain these paperless DSCs. Even then, you can obtain the paperless DSC digitally in just 15 minutes without any hassle.
